Sustainable, fair, tested for harmful substances and environmentally friendly – our high product standards should easily be recognizable for you. We keep our promises and can prove this with the certificates GOTS and OEKO-TEX®.
Our products and production facility are subject to annual eco-audits and are checked following the strict guidelines by the independent control bodies of certifying units. This way, we guarantee that our high standards are maintained, but we also set new standards through constant further development.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the world’s leading standard for the sustainable processing of natural organic fibres. The quality control of the entire supply chain is carried out through an independent control unit and guarantees strict compliance with ecological and social standards.
Ecological criteria (extract):

The textiles must consist of at least 70% organically produced natural fibers.

All dyes must be tested for toxicity and biodegradability.

The packaging material must not contain PVC. All packaging materials, hang tags, banderoles, etc., made of paper or cardboard must either be FSC or PEFC certified or recycled.

All companies must provide their own environmental protection program with specific targets to minimize waste and wastewater.

an operational wastewater treatment plan is required for all facilities in the wet processing area.

Bleach must be based on oxygen (no chlorine bleach).

Exclusion of PVC, nickel and chrome in accessories.

The labelling level on the certificate’s logo indicates whether a product consists of 100% organic natural fibers („organic“) or what percentage of natural organic fibers it contains („made with xx% organic materials“).

Levels of GOTS labels
GOTS organic:
Farbics with this label consist of 100% organic cotton.
According to the high standards of ecological agriculture, they are produced completely without pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and biogenetics.
GOTS made with 92% organic materials:
Fabrics with this label consist of 92% organic cotton and 8% elastane.
GOTS made with 91% organic materials:
Farbics with this label consist of 91% organic cotton and 9% recycled polyester.
GOTS made with 85% organic materials:
Fabrics with this label consist of 85% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester.
GOTS made with 70% organic materials:
Fabrics with this label consist of 70% organic wool and 30% silk.
GOTS organic-in conversion:
Fabrics with this label consist of 100% in-conversion to organic cotton.
By using GOTS organic-in conversion materials, we’re supporting agricultural practices that are transitioning towards organic agriculture.
During the conversion period, farmers can already charge a higher, fair price to even out higher production costs.
Organic-in conversion ensures that the growing demand for organic fibres can be met.
GOTS made with 85% organic-in conversion materials:
Fabrics with this label consist of 85% in-conversion to organic cotton.
15% are made from recycled polyester.
OEKO-TEX®
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 tests all components of our articles and ensures that no harmful substance limits are exceeded. This applies to natural and synthetic fibres and buttons, zippers, accessories, and coatings/laminations.
We fulfil the criteria for „product class 1”, which confirms the strict, human-ecological requirements for babies and toddlers under 3 years of age. This also applies to toys, bed linen and terry towels.
The OEKO-TEX® criteria catalogue is updated at least once a year under the latest scientific findings. The substance limit values set often go beyond national and international requirements.
Our brands, popolini and iobio, are regularly checked by independent OEKO-TEX® experts to ensure a high level of product safety.
