Controlled Quality
Sustainable, fair, tested for harmful substances, and environmentally friendly – our high standards for our products should be clearly visible to you too. We keep our promises and can prove this with the GOTS and OEKO-TEX® certificates.
Our products and production facilities undergo annual eco-audits and are inspected according to the strictest guidelines by the independent control bodies of our certification issuers. This way, we not only ensure the maintenance of our high standards but also set new benchmarks through constant further development.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the world's leading standard for the sustainable processing of organic natural fibers. Quality assurance of the entire production chain is carried out through independent certification and ensures strict compliance with ecological and social standards.
Ecological Criteria (Excerpt):

The textiles must consist of at least 70% organically produced natural fibers.

All dyes must be tested for their toxicity and biodegradability.

Packaging material must not contain PVC. All packaging materials made of paper or cardboard, hangtags, bands, etc. must be either FSC or PEFC certified or recycled.

All operations require their own environmental protection program with concrete targets to minimize waste and wastewater.

A functional wastewater treatment plant is mandatory for all wet processing facilities.

Bleaches must be oxygen-based (no chlorine bleach).

Exclusion of PVC, nickel, and chrome in accessories.

The labeling level indicated on the logo specifies whether a product consists of 100% controlled natural fibers ("Organic") or what percentage of "kbA" (controlled organic cultivation) and "kbT" (controlled organic animal husbandry) fibers are contained in the product.

OEKO-TEX® (Confidence in Textiles)
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 tests all components of our articles and ensures that no pollutant limits are exceeded. This applies not only to natural and synthetic fibers but also to all buttons, zippers, accessories, and coatings.
The "Product Class 1" fulfilled by us further confirms the strict human-ecological requirements for babies and toddlers under 3 years of age. This also concerns toys, bedding, and terry toweling items.
The OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog is updated at least once a year according to the latest scientific findings. The limits set often go beyond national and international regulations.
To ensure high product safety and thus our customers' confidence, products of our own brands popolini and iobio are regularly checked by independent OEKO-TEX® experts.
