Materials

As a manufacturer of organic textiles, we pay special attention to the quality of our resources. Without exception, all raw materials are "Oekotex 100-1"-certified. Over and above that, approximately 80% of our products also carry the strictly controlled GOTS certificate.

We also make sure that the majority of fabrics and fibers originate from Europe. For that matter, we have several partners that provide us with the highest quality. Only our wool is imported from South America before it is processed in Germany and sewn in our Hungarian factory.

Cotton

Because of its high resilience and tear resistance, cotton is our most used natural fiber. It is easy to care for, skin-friendly, and it can absorb moisture without feeling damp. Additionally, cotton can be washed and ironed at high temperatures, which makes it extremely hygienic.

We process only organic cotton, whose biological cultivation has been consistently monitored ("kbA"). It is free of chemical fertilizers, defoliants, and synthetic pesticides, which reduces the risk of allergies for your children and makes our products particularly kind to the skin.

Wool

Virgin wool and especially the high-quality merino wool, is not only cozy and soft, but it also has a few exceptional features: The biological structure and its natural ripple turn wool into an ideal thermoregulator. It keeps us warm during winter and cools in the summer. It is also dirt and odor repellent. Its natural proportion of lanolin (wool wax) further gives it a natural self-cleaning function.

We only use controlled biological and animal husbandry wool ("kbT"), which stems from appropriate and respectful farming. Of course, it is also mulesing-free.

Silk

The protein fiber of the silkworm is the lightest and finest material we use. Silk is enormously tearproof and, at the same time, elastic. It can absorb moisture without feeling damp, and its thermoregulating qualities may warm, cool, and soothe the skin.

Bourette silk made from the remaining silk cocoon contains antimicrobial substances that have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Since silk production is entirely free of insecticides and pesticides, silk also turns out residue-free.

Synthetic fibers

Some of our products contain synthetic fibers like elastane, the synthetic resin polyurethane, or the plasticizer-free polypropylene. These materials help to improve elasticity and durability for swimming trunks, nappy covers, and more. Individual items we also produce with semi-synthetic, cotton-like viscose. You can find more detailed information about the exact fiber proportions on each of the articles.

Package

Using sustainable and resource-saving materials is a priority for us. Therefore, the majority of our packaging consists of recycled goods like waste paper and cardboard. We continuously optimize the packing quality based on ecological requirements.
