…a piece of clothing is truly a thing of beauty – but only if it´s also “clean”! By this we mean that it should combine responsible use of natural resources, minimal impact on the environment and respect for others. In the cultivation of cotton, in particular, there´s a disproportionate use of pesticides to serve the interests of the textile industry – an even “organic cotton” can still include genetically modified (GM) seed. So for us, it´s a matter of principle that we check the sustainability and authenticity of each material we use. As a producer, we know our responsibilities: and have been certified to both Oeko-Tex ® Standard 100 and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) since 2007. In this way we avoid the pitfalls and dangers of blind and trusting dependence on seed and pesticide producers. Annual inspections by independent testing agencies ensure our compliance with our promise to maintain the “green” line beyond the short term and to seek to sustain very high standards and achieve continuous improvement in ecological and social responsibility across our production chain. The results of our efforts to date? Affordable products of superior quality, attractive design and outstanding comfort. And, of course, a clear conscience to share with you!
