Accessibility Statement
BMK Handels- und Vertriebs GmbH is commited to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (WZG BGBl. I. Nr. 59/2019 idgF).
This accessibility statement applies to: popolini.com
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) pursuant to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
a. Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Alternative text for images
Some images, particularly product images, have automatically generated alternative text (e.g., just the product name) that does not always sufficiently and meaningfully describe the image. Therefore, the WCAG success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text content) is currently not fully met. We are working to gradually add manual alternative text during product maintenance.
Videos
YouTube videos are embedded on the website via iFrames. Some of these videos contain on-screen text or visual context for which sufficient captions or audio descriptions are not available. For videos with spoken content, currently only the auto-generated captions by YouTube are partially available, which may contain errors. The WCAG success criteria 1.2.2 (Captions (Prerecorded)) and 1.2.3 (Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded)) are therefore not met. However, we plan to provide complete and correct captions for all newly created and embedded videos in the future.
PDF documents
Some PDF documents available for download (e.g., the product catalog) are currently not fully accessible and, for example, not optimally prepared for screen readers (missing tags, lack of machine readability). Therefore, the WCAG success criteria 1.1.1 (Non-text content) and 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships), among others, are not consistently met in these documents.
Keyboard accessibility (Visible focus):
Although the website and the checkout area can generally be navigated using a keyboard, the keyboard focus is not, or not sufficiently, visually distinct on some interactive elements in the checkout and product areas. For users relying on keyboard navigation, it is therefore not always apparent where they are currently located on the page. The WCAG success criterion 2.4.7 (Focus Visible) is therefore not consistently met. We are working to improve the focus in the aforementioned areas.
Keyboard accessibility of navigation
The main navigation contains dropdown menus for subcategories. Currently, these cannot be expanded using solely keyboard navigation (Tab key). As a workaround, users relying on a keyboard must open the main category to navigate further from there. Direct selection of subcategories via the dropdown menu is not possible for them. Therefore, the WCAG success criterion 2.1.1 (Keyboard) is not fully met in this area.
Contrast
For isolated elements (e.g., specific text or buttons), the contrast ratio between text and background is not consistently high enough. This currently affects only a few areas, but means that the WCAG success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast (Minimum)) is not fully met across the entire website. We are continuously reviewing these areas and gradually adjusting the color values in the design to improve readability.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 13 May 2026. The assessment of the website's compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA was carried out in the form of a self-assessment. This statement is regularly reviewed and updated as necessary.

Enforcement procedure
If the responses from the above contact are unsatisfactory, you may file a complaint with the complaints office of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH - FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the complaints office contact form.
The FFG examines the complaints to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act (WZG), in particular shortcomings in compliance with accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an institution attributable to it. If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the affected legal entities and propose measures to eliminate the existing deficiencies.
Further information on the complaints procedure can be found on the FFG website.
